Parking/Shuttle Service
PRIVATE SHUTTLE:
The Trolley Company of Hendersonville will be running shuttles to downtown. The trolleys will offer transportation on September 2-4, 2011.
Their shuttles will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. The cost is $2 for adults and $1 for children. The trolley route goes from the China Sea/Old Ryans Steakhouse parking lot, down Seventh Avenue and drops off a block from Main Street at the parking lot at Third Avenue and King Street. There will be signs on Four Seasons Boulevard directing people to the trolley parking lot.
The North Carolina Apple Festival is not involved in this year's shuttle service. It is being operated by a private company. In previous years, we provided shuttle services from Jackson Park to the festival, but construction work at the park cut off access to most of the parking spaces and the work will not be completed in time for Labor Day weekend, thus this other location will be utilized. All information about this year's shuttle service is here for information only since we have no responsibility for it.
PARKING LOTS:
There are multiple parking lots throughout downtown Hendersonville that surrounds the Festival including free and fee-based parking. Many parking lots are operated by local non-profits and charge a nominal fee for parking. The North Carolina Apple Festival does not control these parking lots or their fees.
HANDICAPPED PARKING:
This year the Handicapped Parking is at the Visitor's Center. You can enter this parking area by turning left from Church Street (US 25 South) onto Barnwell Street. The Handicapped Parking area will be clearly marked on the left. Our thanks for the Henderson County Travel & Tourism for making this area available for handicapped parking and to the Hendersonville Shrine Club for manning it during the Festival.
