Apple Window Display Contest

The Friends of Downtown Hendersonville invites all local businesses to decorate their windows for the 78th Annual NC Apple Festival, supporting our local NC apple growers! You can compete in the Apple Festival Window Display Contest by submitting the entry form found below. Entries must be submitted by Friday, August 23rd, and the form includes all the rules and deadlines to follow.
The Contest winners will be announced during the opening ceremony on Friday, August 30th at the Historic Courthouse on Main Street.
Apple Recipe Contest
The NC State Extension invites all chefs, cooks, bakers and inquisitive culinary producers to compete in the inaugural Apple Recipe Contest at the NC Apple Festival by submitting the entry form found on its website. Entries must be submitted online by Friday, August 23rd, and the form includes the contest rules and timeline.
Entries are divided into four (4) categories:
• Bread – sweet or savory in a loaf form
• Pies and Pastries – must have pie crust or pastry dough component
• Desserts – includes cakes & cookies
• Kids – made for kids by kids (w/adult supervision)
• Local Business* – a local business in Henderson County that produces an item in one of the categories above (bread, pies, pastries, desserts) *See special rules for this category
