Parade Application

Due to the construction of Hendersonville High near 9th Ave., we have had to make some changes to the Parade setup and route. Asheville Highway going south will be closed at Fleming Street for Parade Setup. Traffic will be routed down Fleming Street. Unfortunately, these road closures will not allow for the pre-parade of antique vehicles.

Please note the following:

  • Parade Entries will continue to enter Oakland Street off of US 64 West (Brevard Road). Our staff will be there to assist you. Drop-offs can be at the Oakland Street entrance or on Fleming Street only.
  • Professional Floats will be relocated to a closed Asheville Highway – facing south at the old Boyd Parking Lot. They will be placed on the closed roadway facing south. All drop-offs for the Professional Floats must be made on Fleming Street due to road closure.
  • Fire Trucks and other Emergency Vehicles will also be placed on Asheville Highway facing south.

You are welcome to be a part of the North Carolina Apple Festival King Apple Parade! The North Carolina Apple Festival King Apple Parade will be held Monday, September 2, 2024.

It is important that we put on an entertaining and engaging show for our attendees and visitors. We ask that you submit and decorate your unit accordingly (think apples!) and not only positively represent your group, but represent the pride and joy that flows from participating in one of our oldest community events.

2024 Update:  Please read the Rules and Regulations before submitting the application.
